White Ale Wins Gold at GABF Posted on 08 Oct 09:31
Saint Archer is excited to announce a Gold Medal win for our White Ale at the Great American Beer Festival this past weekend, beating out 65 others in the category of Belgian-Style Witbiers for this prestigious award. GABF’s criteria for the Gold Medal denotes “a world-class beer that accurately exemplifies the specified style, displaying the proper balance of taste, aroma and appearance.”
Founded in 1982, the Great American Beer Festival is the premier U.S. beer festival and competition, representing the largest collection of U.S. beer ever served. Alongside beer tasting, GABF awards gold, silver, and bronze medals to brews across the country in 84 different beer-style categories.
Our Belgian White is brewed with high quality pilsner and wheat malts, generously spiced with hand-ground coriander and fresh orange puree. Belgian yeast provides the traditional refreshingly tart, spicy, and fruity flavor profile while the wheat protein and yeast gives a customary hazy appearance and contributes to the flavor and mouth feel.
Saint Archer is very proud to have received this honor, and want to congratulate our brewers and thank our supporters as we strive to continue making award-winning beers!
